Re/Max allowed an unlicensed roofer who turned out to be a criminal to do the quote/estimate to close on a house. Instead of honoring an 8,000 drop in the price of the home (since I, the buyer, found a licensed roofer who quoted 8000 for a new roof) they allowed the seller to hire someone who wasn't even a real roofer to give us an estimate for much less. When we hired that person (knowing they HAD to be licensed since they were used to negotiate the price of the home in our addendum) he ripped us off, caused a lot of damage, and now won't return any of our calls. Our roof now leaks in multiple places and needs to be replaced...AGAIN. Upon further investigation we realized that Remax did NOT do their homework and they allowed a criminal to give us a quote in order to close faster and make more money. Thanks a lot Remax!
